Local 3D Model Converter
Privacy Policy
Your files, on your device
Model conversion and preview run locally. The app does not upload your models or conversion history to the developer. You choose what to share; Apple handles purchases, and any support email is sent by you.
What information does the app collect?
The app processes existing 3D model files on your device. It does not send your models, conversion outputs, file paths, conversion records, or usage activity to the developer. There is no app account, advertising, cross-app tracking, developer analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDK.
We do not sell personal information or use your models to train AI. Information you voluntarily send by email is handled separately, as described below.
How are files accessed and processed?
You choose the files or folders the app can access through the system file picker. Model import, geometry conversion, and preview run locally. Source files are read in place; the app does not keep an imported-model library or make a managed copy of each source.
Converted files are saved in the app’s exported folder. On Mac, batch and folder conversion can instead use an output folder you select. The app does not modify your source model as part of conversion.
If you select a file stored with iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider may download or synchronize it. Sharing an output, or saving to a cloud-backed Mac folder, is controlled by you and the chosen service. These services have their own privacy policies.
What remains on the device?
- Converted files: the output models you create.
- Conversion records: source and output paths, formats, file sizes, dates, durations, success or failure details, and repeat/skip counts.
- Content fingerprints: local hashes used to recognize previously converted file contents and avoid unnecessary repeat work.
- Export catalog and file access: output entries and system file-access bookmarks for locations you select.
- Folder preferences: chosen folders, format filters, subfolder options, target format, and preview or monitoring settings.
- Review-request state: local success counts and request dates used to avoid frequent rating prompts.
The app uses Apple-verified purchase information to determine available features. Model data is not included in purchase requests.
When does folder monitoring run?
Continuous folder monitoring is available on Mac only. It starts after you explicitly choose to start monitoring and periodically checks the selected folder for eligible files. Use Stop Monitoring to stop future scans and conversions.
Saved folder preferences do not start monitoring automatically at launch. Monitoring does not run after the app quits, and device sleep or suspension can interrupt it. The app does not request camera, microphone, Photos, contacts, or location access for conversion.
How can I manage or delete local data?
Outputs and local records remain until you remove the relevant files or app data; they do not expire automatically. Use Finder or Files to manage saved outputs. Removing an entry from Records → Exports removes its catalog entry, not the file itself or its conversion record.
To stop future access to a monitored folder, stop monitoring or quit the app. You can remove local app data using the device’s app-storage controls where available. On Mac, deleting the app alone may leave its sandbox data behind; contact us for help locating and removing it. Save any outputs you want to keep before removing app data.
The developer has no remote copy of your local models or conversion history to delete. Copies you share or store outside the app must be managed at those destinations. Apple retains purchase records under its own policies.
Are converted files backed up or synchronized?
The app requests system backup exclusion for outputs in its own exported folder. This is a request to the operating system, not a guarantee that no backup can ever include those files. It does not apply to a Mac output folder you select outside the app container.
The app does not provide a model-sync service. Your device backup settings, file providers, and destinations you choose may independently retain or synchronize files and local app data.
How are purchases and Apple services handled?
Apple processes App Store payments, subscriptions, and purchase restoration. The app reads verified product and transaction status, including expiration or revocation information, to unlock the features you own. We do not receive your payment card details.
Store purchases, restoration, subscription management, and some entitlement updates may require a connection to Apple. Local conversion does not use a developer server. Apple may also handle system diagnostics or ratings according to your device settings and its privacy policy.
What if I contact support?
If you email iuway@foowei.com, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send, such as a description of an issue, screenshots, or attachments. We use this information to respond and investigate the request, not for advertising.
Send only information needed to explain the issue. You do not need to send a model to ask for help; avoid confidential models and personal information in screenshots. Email is handled by the email providers involved in delivery and storage.
Support correspondence is retained only as needed to resolve and follow up on your request or meet applicable obligations. You may request access, correction, or deletion of information you sent by emailing us. If any information must be retained, we will explain why.
