Local 3D Model Converter

Convert 3D mesh models locally on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Work with a single file, a batch, or an entire folder, and monitor folders on Mac for new or changed models. Geometry stays on your device, with no account or model uploads.

Materials, textures, and complete outputs

Local 3D Model Converter retains supported material colors, UVs, and image textures when converting existing mesh models. STL does not carry standard materials or textures. Keep referenced MTL and image files accessible; Folder Scan can grant access to their folder. OBJ, FBX, USDA, and USDC may use companion resources, which are included in ZIP sharing. Custom shaders and some mappings may be simplified; check conversion warnings and the result in your destination app. Animation, skinning, cameras, lights, CAD solids, mesh repair, and image-to-3D are outside this conversion profile.

CORE FEATURES

Import STL (ASCII or binary, including .stlb), OBJ, GLB/glTF, FBX, 3MF, USDA, USDC, and USDZ.
Export STL, OBJ, GLB, FBX, 3MF, USDA, USDC, or USDZ, retaining materials and textures supported by the source and destination. STL retains geometry only; unsupported appearance channels are reported.
Convert a single file and compare source and result previews. Single-file STL and OBJ output is free; all supported input formats are available without a format purchase.
Convert multiple models to one target format with Batch Files; each source produces its own output.
Scan a folder with source-format filters and optional subfolders. Folder conversion preserves the source folder structure.
On Mac, explicitly start folder monitoring to convert new or changed files while the app is running. Monitoring stops when the app quits; iPhone and iPad support folder conversion only.
Find conversion results in Records and successful files in Exports. Share or locate saved outputs in Files or Finder; Mac batch and folder workflows can use a custom output folder.
Turn off preview for batch and folder workflows. A preview failure does not by itself prevent an otherwise successful export.
Unlock more export formats, batch conversion, and folder conversion through three separate lifetime purchases, or all three with an active Pro subscription. Advanced batch or folder output needs both format and workflow access.
Requires iOS / iPadOS 26 or later, or macOS 26 or later on Apple silicon. No visionOS version.
Conversion and preview run locally with no ads, account, tracking, or developer uploads. Cloud-backed files, purchases, restoring access, and online sharing may require a connection.

QUESTIONS

Which formats can I convert?

Import STL, OBJ, GLB/glTF, FBX, 3MF, USDA, USDC, and USDZ. Export STL, OBJ, GLB, FBX, 3MF, USDA, USDC, and USDZ. Supported materials, UVs, and textures are converted; STL is geometry-only. Unsupported shader channels are reported. Animation, skinning, cameras, and lights are not preserved.

What can I use for free?

All supported input formats are available without a format purchase. Single-file conversion to STL or OBJ is free. GLB and other paid export formats, batch conversion, and folder conversion have separate lifetime purchases; an active Pro subscription includes all three. Advanced batch or folder output requires both format and workflow access.

Does folder monitoring work on iPhone or iPad?

iPhone, iPad, and Mac support folder conversion. Continuous folder monitoring is Mac-only, starts when you explicitly enable it, and requires the app to remain running. It does not continue after the app quits.

Are materials and textures retained?

Supported material colors, UVs, and image textures are retained when the target format can represent them. Keep referenced resources accessible, or use Folder Scan to select their folder. Share multi-file outputs as the prepared ZIP. STL cannot retain appearance; custom shaders and some mappings may be simplified. This app does not import STEP/IGES, repair meshes, or generate models from photos.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad require iOS / iPadOS 26 or later. Mac requires macOS 26 or later and Apple silicon. There is no visionOS version.

Are my models uploaded?

Conversion and preview run locally with no account, tracking, or model uploads to the developer. Cloud-backed input files, App Store purchases and restoration, and sharing to online destinations may require a connection.
